September 11

Yesterday my parents came to visit...and I was babysitting an extra 5 children...

Today-it is simply September 11-thoughts to those so tragically effected that day...

Morning routine: Wow have we all been bitten by an extreme case of the grouchies. We were whinny, grumpy, and in some cases out and out disobedient! We finally got to learning time...at 9 exactly no less, but wow the grouchiness continued.

Morning devotional:with extra grouchiness and disobedience abounding we left our scriptures-for those of us that would even look for them-and went to clean the van. It needed to be done nd we needed to shines away all of our whinies. After the van we read some scriptures about Christ as Creator. No one was in much mood to discuss, but I spoke a little about Christ's power and how prayer is more meaningful when we realize how well he knows His creations (US!) and how powerful He is.

Learning time: we read from Journey to the center of the earth...it was a plot heavy section with the first sightings of plesiasaurous and ichthyosaur. Not much discussion, but a little math with all the measurements and lengths of things. Ofcourse they continue to be given in leagues...perhaps this book will cement everyones 3 times tables! We also discussed centegrade and fareheit...more math


frustrations: whining? whining? disobedience and grouchiness...it sure is infectious....the cleaning seemed to help-hopefully the rest of the day will be better...
