play and excavate

Morning routine: We have a winner!!! The weeks best morning routine. I started and rotated the laundry, everyone finished chores and was dressed. Music time was done and we started learning time before 9:15 (okay so I wasn't watching the clock...

Learning time: We had devotional and read Dctrine and Covenants 76 about Jospeh Smith seeing Christ, and Christ as our creator. We read 15 pages in journey to the center of the earth...not much to discuss, but we are finally on the raft!

We went to paly group..on time...and had a fun time. After play group we had lunch together. We discussed the days of creation and the children remembered what was created each day! April Leavitt talked about dinosaurs and fossils, than we excavated our dinosaurs. What could be more fun than using hammers and chissels on plaster to find dinosaurs? The children had a great time. it is a LOT of work to chip away at plaster!

frustrations:I need to do better with the devotional time, so that they look forward to that as much as learning time. We need to work on the lunch to coop transition...
