Morning routine: We did get some laundry started and children all ready..we were not staying home so that took a little phone calling, and children motivating. We got out the door at 9:30 with all but music time done.
Learning time: I had decided it would be wonderful to take advantage of the season, enjoy the creations and learn to be stewards...okay a little hard work is what I was after, with fruit as the reward.
We picked apples and pears...cleaned a very little at the combs. The tree was very hard to climb so the childen wer not interested in picking apples. Next we went to bother Pierce's. We helped him clean up peaches from teh ground that had fallen in the storm. We also picked some peaches that would be lost otherwise, and planned to come back next week. It was a lot of work and it felt good to make a difference. Brothe rPierce has a wonderful garden.
Frustrations: The children did not work as much as I would have liked. i really need to work on that. I hope if we do this regularly we will improve..
